About BARPO
Our History
BARPO was founded in 2018 by Ricardo Burrows who saw a need to reunite, socialize, and assist retired colleagues after serving their country and the local community, so he took it upon himself and other former colleagues to join him on this endeavor. Joining him were several original members, Pedro Seymour,
Ellen Meldor Strachan, Danny Toussaint, Robert Darville,
Nigel Edgecombe, Lafayette Dorsette, Barry Brice,
Winifred G Tetteh-Owusu, Elsworth Darling, Patrick Storr and
Godfrey Bethel (RIP)

Our Goals
BARPO, goals are to foster better relations with the community, society and the police department. To inform, assist and educate in matters of mutual interest.,

Our Motto
BARPO, motto is to display and be a supportive resources to retired police officers and for those that are currently serving, our community and for our society, We assist in any way possible. To better the situation, by creating a positive atmosphere in all circumstances

Community Activity
Calling all former police officers from Grand Bahamas and the Northern District, Nassau, and all family island, The police legends of Grand Bahama are hosting an all day social reunion, serving breakfast, Brunch, lunch dinner and drinks. at the private residence on Charles water drive.. there will be all sorts of meals, drinks, games, dancing and just hanging out.
